As an independent digital art studio, Atelier Angel Karagiozov faces the ongoing challenge of protecting our work while ensuring it reaches the right audiences. Through the Creative Rights Initiative (CRI), launched by Wacom and supported by industry leaders, we’ve gained the tools to assert ownership and maximize the value of our creations. CRI provides a unique digital ID for every piece, giving us incorruptible proof of authorship without relying on third-party validation, so our rights and reputation are secure.

Wacom Yuify [ ̍ʝ uː i . f a i ]—inspired by the Japanese word yu-i, meaning “to connect”—has become central to our studio’s workflow. Yuify allows us to protect our digital artwork, manage licensing rights, and establish legally binding agreements with ease. Here’s how it transforms our creative process:

• Permanent Digital Ownership:

  Each piece of artwork we create receives a unique digital ID embedded into every export. With Yuify, even if our work circulates across different platforms or is modified, anyone can trace it back to us as the original creators.   Knowing that our work is registered on the blockchain gives us a reliable, unchangeable record of authorship. These records are tamper-proof and provide us with undeniable proof of origin for every piece we create. It’s reassuring to have these records in place, so if we ever need to prove our rights, the evidence is secure and indisputable.

• Streamlined and Secure Licensing Management:

  Wacom Yuify provides an advanced, centralized platform for managing our licensing agreements with precision and confidence. We are able to set detailed licensing terms, monitor active agreements, and maintain clear visibility over who holds each license to our work. This organized and compliant system helps us safeguard our intellectual property from unauthorized use, ensuring that every license agreement is legally binding and easily accessible when needed. For added security, Wacom’s signature capture technology enables accurate electronic signature verification by collecting and storing a wealth of biometric data.
